We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Solar Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for commercial buildings. You will work alongside our team of experienced professionals to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain commercial solar PV systems, including:
- Mounting solar panels on rooftops and ground-mounted structures
- Wiring and connecting solar panels, inverters, and other components
- Testing and commissioning solar systems
- Troubleshooting and repairing solar systems
- Adhere to all applicable electrical codes and safety regulations
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Communicate effectively with clients and project managers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Completed an apprenticeship or hold equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of two years' experience working as an electrician post-qualification.
- At least a Level 3 qualification in inspection, testing, and initial verification, such as:
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394, and 2395 qualifications and/or
- EAL Inspection and Testing and Initial Verification qualifications.
- Ability to efficiently design, install, and verify a wide range of electrical installations.
- Capable of running projects and setting out good systems of working from drawings and specifications.
- Extremely good understanding of the requirements of BS 7671.
- Experience in solar PV system installation and maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prepared to work nationwide (UK).
